I caught them in Durham NC lat night. I am a fan, but I am also a musician and pretty tough to please: they were fantastic. The sound was good at the beginning and superb by about the third song when the guy running the board really got everything in sonic focus. The band was top notch in every way, and they did songs from every period from Spencer Davis Group to Winwood's latest solo work (Nine Lives). I won't ruin your surprise by giving away the set list, but everyone should be delighted. From subtle jazz textures to strutting rock 'n roll and grooving R&B. All in all, this was simply one of the best two hours of great music you could ever hope to hear.

Will there be an opening act when Steve plays at the MGM in Connecticut?

    Thank you!
What should we expect musically (new vs. older solo vs. traffic vs. blind faith vs. spencer davis)?

Does "solo tour" mean no backup band or just no co-star (e.g., Clapton)?

Steve...since you will be here in Miami for your Gig at the Super Bowl why don't you stop by my Restaurant - Rock Fish Grill - in South Miami for a great meal? As a huge Fan of yours ( forever ) and a big Rock fan (my restaurant is decorated in Rock n Roll stuff - thus the name... ) you would make this old man's (52!) life if I could have you in my place for a meal. Hey, I can dream right?

    Keep on Rockn!

Although we enjoy Tom Petty, Steve needs to return to Atlanta solo on his next trek to the Peach State.
