I'm having a little trouble with my computer. I just sent you a note, however, I'm not sure if it ever transmitted. First of all I am the short blonde with the aqua blue and white stripe T-shirt with white skirt that saw you at the Winwood/Tom Petty show in K.C. at the Sprint Center around 7/08. I happened to catch your eye for I have a knee brace on my right leg and stood out a bit. I wanted to send you a big "Thank You", for coming over to the section I and others were sitting at to sing your last song, (Gimme some Lovin). I was a bit immobile from surgery, however, determined to make the show. Unfortunately, I had to leave early that night. DRAG !!
I have a question you've heard over and over again I'm sure. Since I am a Winwood Fanclub member would I be elgible for back stage passes to ask for your autograph ??? I want to go through the proper channels. I'm looking forward to being at the Winwood/Carlo Santana show on the 4th of July, Starlight Theatre, K.C. , for your boyish grin gets me every time. Your music has stood the test of time and always will.. I just wondered if your father was a huge influence on you since he was a musical talent as well. Of course I grew up with your music from the 60's until now. Can't seem to get enough !! You alway's try to introduce something new for your fans either it be through your arranging or calypso bohemian beat. IT'S ALL GREAT !!!!!!!!! I better go for I have bent your ear long enough. Take Care and "KEEP ROCKIN AND SHINING ON !!!!!!!!!!, O.K. ?
Sending Best Wishes,
Cathy Allen

I can't recall the old site (me v. bad). This design works remarkably well. Totally simplified and basic, but lots of little tricks up its sleeve. Understandably a huge musical presence needn't show off. I think the website creators paid a sweet respectful nod in the right direction. Graceful and easy. Fun, but graceful. Respect for the intellectual property. Plan to join up, for now, enjoying the accessible parts, with much appreciation and gratitude. The 'vault' has been mentioned a lot..

Too bad that the forums are paid membership exclusive, but the site looks great, IS great, and I'll be as active as possible in the sections I'm allowed to go to. I'm only 20, and I've been a fan for roughly 3 years, but no artist has ever touched me more than Steve, and the least I could do was to join the site.

Well, this brought on tears. What a sweet respect paid to us. How nice is that invitation. Lovely.
