Holy Ground! Frankfurt Opera House! Tomorrow night!
PLEASE!!
Thanks.
How about posting the setlist(s)? Saw a purported setlist on Steve's facebook profile. Has that list ever been confirmed?
As far as the Paris show is concerned, I'd be pleased to hear Valerie or Back in the high life again or Arc of a diver, or even the three of'em. And yes I'm probably amongst the younger section of Steve's fans to have such "modern" requests ;-)
No Face, No Name, No Number or John Barleycorn. Both songs make wonderful use of the full range of Steve's voice.
one more morning for zurich please. CU,Gert
Dream Gerrard at Bobino in Paris
I won't be in Europe, but this question is too interesting to pass up. If you surveyed and tabulated the top fifteen favorites of long-time fans, my list might be similar to most. That may be the reason certain songs do often get performed live, such that I've seen them in person or have them on video. I hope they'll continue to be played, because I'll never get enough of them. But, if I could pick just one song (which I can't), I'd probably say play a Traffic or SDG tune that's more of a rarity. For instance, I'd like to find out if "Waltz for Lumumba" would make an amazing companion piece to "Low Spark". Or, who wouldn't like to hear Steve's first songwriting efforts, such as "It Hurts Me So" or "Here Right Now". Several more from SDG could be listed, along with plenty from Traffic ("Paper Sun", "Smiling Phases", "Means To An End", "Evening Blue", "Stranger to Himself", "Tragic Magic", etc.), that aren't played too often these days. How to pick just one? Write them down on scraps of paper and draw from a hat, I suppose. I even wouldn't mind revisiting Traffic's role as one of the first jam-bands, with an extended cover tune, as on Last Exit. (Steve's voice would likely be great on numerous Motown covers, like "Hold On, I'm Coming", though it could also be fair play to steal Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4", as they once heisted his "I'm A Man" and were never brought up on charges. ha!) If limited to more recent songs, my choice might be "Now That You're Alive", but that's also a tough decision.
Amazing concert last night in Rome!!!!!! And thank you very much for "empty pages"!!!!!!!
For the Utrecht concert, the 14th, Low Spark ....
That would be wonderful as it's one of my alltime favorite songs!
Jhon Barleycorn, any place in England, please.
