On holiday from the Netherlands in Florida we drove from Orlando to Tampa for the Santana/Winwood show. Swapped tickets in the morning on TM to row 4 centre stage! My son (15)plays some stuff by Santana so he wanted to go to the show. I saw Santana in the 70's (great) and 80's (far from great). We both saw Winwood with Clapton just a couple months ago in Belgium. The show in Tampa was amazing. First Steve for 75 minutes with a great band, then Santana better than I ever heard him, with topclass musicians around him. His sound was as it should be. Back to the roots. Steve (and band) and Carlos went through a long "Right on" by Marvin This was one of my top 10 shows ever (ou t of 100+ by Prince, Clinton Who Stones etc) See you in the autumn in Europe Steve.

Went to two show, Milwaukee WI and Tinley Park IL. Was disappointed that Steve did not come our with Santana at either of the performances. My wife had her shirt from the Roll With It tour that was exactly 20 years to the day as Tinley Park. Wanted to get it autographed but it didn't happen....We'll keep trying.

I entered the Santana final tour contest for Miami, and get about 20 spam mails; reminds me of Hendrix's promoters, only in it for the money-not the music

Santana has a great history of a guitarist. I read on a different site that he has loads of unreleased live performances. He is a talented musician with very good intentions. I don't think getting wasted on marijuana helps out any musician, and to me, that's the image he wants to project. Marijuana is a herb used for healing, which is abused across the world. Let's hope Santana recovers from his drug addiction. It's a sad sight to see Santana being used as a mass marketing peddler of handbags, shoes, and what-have-you. Let's wish the best for Carlos Santana, and cherish his great recordings. Whatever Santana is doing now has no appeal to me, but if making a living on your name, and making a name brand works for him, that's great. I've just seen so many people waste their money on a bad drug habit that puts them 6 feet under financially. Let's hope and pray for his drug addiction recovery.

Reflecting back on the two concert experiences,,, it truly Showcased Steve Winwood's music from deep inside his soul, with thoughtful lyrics and healing power. His concert reached out to everyone in the audience. Santana's show was geared toward the 20 something audience high on drugs. Could truly see how marijuana messes up music, it then comes some hallucinating ego sound, which Santana would clean up his act, funny how he even played at crossroads. I mean, in the 60's marijuana was used in such small doses, today, everything is supersized. He might as well sniff glue, drug addiction looses your soul and fools you. Thank God for the healing message from Crossroads
