Steve and the band were amazing at Mohegan Sun. The sad part for my wife and I was Santana's performance. His band was too loud! We left after Santana did two songs. Saw Santana several times over the years, and never left satisfied.
I am looking forward to see S.W. again, next time without any other acts, please.
So glad I made it July 31, 2010 at the the Gary in Tampa. Steve and his band were as hot as the mid-summer Florida night. The Set opened with three newer songs, including Dirty City (which Carlos Santana came out to hear). A parade of classics followed: Can't Find My Way Home, Low Spark, Empty Pages, Higher Love, Dear Mr. Fantasy & Gimme Some Lovin'. The band was tight, a quintet (trio on Fantasy) with Steve alternating between keyboard (Hammond Organ?) and guitar (Les Paul), lead guitarist, drummer, percussionist and a horns/flute keyboard player. Interesting that there was no bass player, but it did not detract from the set in any way.
Perhaps the biggest treat on the night was when Carlos invited Steve and his band to play the Marvin Gaye tune "Right On" with Steve playing Organ and lead vocals while Carlos played guitar. A great show all around.

Steve, we've seen you many times, both in Traffic and on your own; wish the sound engineers could've given you the quality you deserved in West Palm Beach last night. Such a pleasure to follow you and to have our son get to hear you live as well (his third time, the first time in utero in Ft. Lauderdale in 1994) . . . keep playing that Hammond!
Steve Winwood we LOVE you. Just a miracle. I feel the spirit move through your music. Took our two 10 year old boys to their first concert ever last night and it was Winwood/Santana at the Cruzan in West Palm, Florida. I'm a native here and our venues suck, but Cruzan is an ok place. Thanks for coming here Steve! I feel blessed to have seen you play!

I was there at your concert with Eric Clapton in ?stanbul on 13th of June. That was a great night for me. I was following you and Mr. Clapton, since Traffic and Cream days. So, I think this concert was so special for our generation, that we have been waiting so long to see, and listen the very good sounds of those years. We spent a magnificent night, thanks very much.
Saw the show at PNC on 7/20 and thought they were both great!! I'm honored just to be in the same room with these LEGENDS of ROCK! Singing Happy Birthday to Santana along with Steve was a thrill in itself, not to mention all the great music! I hope they never stop touring!
